Parents visit visa to UK

Post by studio123 » Mon Feb 18, 2013 11:38 am

not sure it's been asked here before my parents live in a visa county. I want them to come and visit me for 3 weeks in September.

All fine I'm BC and earning more than 35k same with my wife and we have enough space on the house etc.

Only issue is both my parents are over 60 and don't work I help them every month send money to mums bank account. they own their house and that's about it.

You think this will cause an issue ? my sister lives with them she have to go back as she can't live on a her own for long but she is over 21 though.

The fact that your provide for them should not be an issue if they can evidence social and other economic ties. These decisions are often arbitrary so provide as much evidence as you can of their motivation to return.

proof of ties with the home country in the form of employment, property, estate, bank finance, cash etc are good evidences. also any past travel history strengthens the application.
however, no one can confirm whether these supporting documents would be "enough" as the ultimate decision will be taken by the ECO and not members of the forum.
good luck.
