Entered Uk 22/2/2011 on spouse visa. valid untill 20/05/2013 and i booked appointment with PEO on 27/03/2013. that would be 2 years and 1 month. do i have to apply exactly after 2years or as long as my visa is valid? and one more thing.the new life in uk test is from march, i passed my life in uk on 15/02/2013 can i submit this test for my ilr or i have to take the new test? thank you for you time.

You could have applied from the 22nd January 2013...and can apply up until the expiry date on your visa. The old KOL test will remain valid.
