Based on my knowledge, you do not need to be resident in Ireland to apply for Citizenship based on Decent. Most citizenship requirements like residency requirements are waived in your case.greenandland wrote:Thanks all, do I need to be resident in Ireland to apply based on Decent?
1. Form available here: http://www.embassyofireland.co.uk/home/ ... x?id=88365greenandland wrote:I am in the process of gathering information for Irish Citizenship since finding out that I qualify through descent, however its quite complex and wondering if anyone has ever been though the process of applying for Irish Citizenship through descent or anyone knows how to go about it?
My questions are
1) does anyone have a link of where to apply on line or a link of the form to fill in and download?
2) What evidence is required?
3) I read somewhere I need 3 Irish references? however I don't know anyone personally who lives in Ireland.
I would be very grateful if someone can help
