Post by Hkpatel554 » Mon Feb 18, 2013 10:54 pm

Hi all,
I am planning to apply for tier 1 entrepreneur visa in month of march 2013 and my wife is pregnant and expecting baby in June 2013. Shall I claim the maternity allowance ?????? Will it effect the outcome????

Although it is not listed in benefits section of Entrepreneur application form.
But I will not suggest to claim it. As you always provide your National Insurance Number in application form and N.I number gives all information regarding benefits.

If you have doubts, then do not claim it.
Note: I do not work as an Immigration Consultant, but my advice comes from experiences and my opinions are my own.

my advise not to claim any sort of allowance at all .................. remember later you have to apply for ILR too and it can be a problem then so couple of hundred pounds I will not take a risk

Hi rehan I appreciate u take a much of your time to this forum but one kind advice don't try react on every topic because may be some times u can end up giving up wrong advice
And about maternity pay its not a benifit it's your right to claim even if you don't have visa it can be claimed because as you worked in this country
And the job centre plus won't ask you visa nationality they just ask matb1 form which you get from nhs
I my self getting maternity pay from job centre plus
So there is no issue

Hi sug,

that was my personal opinion and advise and you or anyone else DO NOT NEED TO FOLLOW IT.

I just shared my opinion and i guess that is what this forum is for correct?

people can share there own experience and thought and other don't need to follow it.

as per my understanding any funds claims from government / job centre etc can create problems when you apply for ILR so does it really worth for couple of hundred quid?

anyway you are claiming good luck and people do not worry about me replying to every post because I can afford doing that and even i give wrong advise my apologize but no one should follow it as its just my own opinion as i am not legal advisor or consultant.
