Need help about application.

Post by khuddar » Tue Feb 19, 2013 8:36 pm

I just noticed my bank statement and notice there is a spelling error in my name, two of the letters come the wrong way round. Everything else is correct but those two letters. Should i be worried by this?

Furthermore, if this is a concern should i go to the bank, correct the mistake and have them maybe write a letter explaining the situation?

Any help would be great.

If you have time in hand then why not! Always better to be on the safer side.

Thanks for that. I contacted the bank who corrected the error and will write a letter confirming there was a mistake in the spelling which has now been corrected.

Hopefully the UKBA don't moan about it now.

That should be fine as long as the letter is on a letter head, signed and stamped by the bank which am sure it would be

You just wouldn't believe it, i have been sent the new card with the same mistake again! This is despite clearly telling them the problem and they said they would correct it!

I phoned up head office who said it would be done in branch! Except last time when i went in branch about the problem they said i needed to call up head office because they do not issue cards!

I can't believe there is such confusion over a simple matter like this.

I phone up again and this time someone else picked the phone up and sorted out the problem. It was a different number this time round yet last time i had used a different number first time round and the man who answered the call sorted it out or so i thought.

When i called from the same number again the guy said it ahd to be done in branch. Guess he was just lazy or didn't want the hassle, should have noted his name and complained.

Anyway the woman who answered the call said she would sort the problem out and get the new details sent straight away. Hopefully it is right this time! The letter from the bank is due, hopefully they haven't made the same mistake on that aswell!.

Thanks for that. I just need help on something else because the £18,600 income bit and savings is confusing me.

I worked out my income to be £13,020.

My partner has savings of 10,000 and i have savings of 17,800. How do you work out how much is needed to make up the rest via savings?

If you can let me know that will be great.
