Tier 1 Extension Help

I am claiming my earnings for the period of 01-04-2012 to 31-03-2013. I will get paid on 22nd of march. My appointment is on 29th of march.

Is it ok if I go to the extension before my claiming period is finished (31 march).

Please help.

My appointment is on 29march.
do I need to put my claiming perion from 01-04-2012 to 31-03-2013 or
01-04-2012 to 28-03-2013.
