Address for Absence

Post by anandh79 » Wed Feb 20, 2013 3:27 pm

Hi,

I will be applying for ILR only on May.
I am applying as WP+Tier 1 and had some absences during my WP time.

But my employer is ready to provide me the absence letter now itself.

Please find the following questions with respect to that.

1. Is it ok if the employer letter is received now even though the appointment is on May?

2. Whom should I address in the To, since I don't know where i will be getting my PEO?

3. Is it ok to make it generic as "To whomsover it may concern"

4. I have employement trips from UK to Germany for 2 months. In that 2 months, I further went from Germany to HongKong. Is it fine to mention the trips between UK to Germany since the trip from Germany to HongKong is also covered along with the two months dates. Please advise.

Regards
Anandh

1. The letter must be recent. Preferably within one of the application
2. My letter for addressed to UKBA, nothing was mentioned about the specific PEO I was applying to.
3. As mentioned in point 2
4. You can just mention the UK and Germany trip only.

Thanks Gagan,

I have the following clarification further.

I have travelled directly from UK to the following locations

1. UK to germany via amsterdam(1 night stay in amsterdam)
2. UK to HongKong and return Germany to UK
3. UK to HongKong via Germany.

My most of the time spent is in Germany only. As the trips are pretty complex, I have mentioned in the letter the following

12/02/2008 07/03/2008 Work Trip to Germany
12/03/2008 04/04/2008 Work Trip to Amsterdam, Germany and India
07/04/2008 06/06/2008 Work Trip to Germany,HongKong
08/06/2008 14/08/2008 Work Trip to Germany,HongKong
22/11/2008 21/01/2009 Work Trip to India

Let me know whether that will suffice!

Regards

All they are interested in the date you left UK and the date you entered UK plus the reason for it

And the letter detailing those will suffice as you stated above. All good

For absences the actual date of the letter doesnt matter as you could have left the company and joined a new company. In that scenario you would take the letters when you leave so you will be fine even if it was dated earlier.
Thanks!

Set O form/guidance itself is pretty clear on which docs needed dated within one calendar month. Employer SOC letter etc is one.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. Please note that I am applying as Tier1 and submitting this absence letter as an additional proof. These are absences when I was in WP.

Nowhere in the application says that tier 1 needs to provide evidence for absences during WP time.
