How to help my partner to get PR?

Post by Klow » Thu Feb 21, 2013 2:21 pm

Hi guys,

Good news!!! I've just received my BRP card today for SET(O) 14 years application :D

Now I need to plan for my partner. She's a PHD student, will complete her research in 2014/2015 and her visa will expire in 2014. She's working as supporting tutor and her income is £25K.

I don't have income provement for last 16 months. My friend has just offered me a job with basic pay, not sure if that helps.

What application/procedure I should apply to help her to get PR? Do I need to work for a year to prove I have income of over £19K?

Any advice/opinion will be appreciated. Many thanks!!!

what is your partner's immigration status? Are you living together? If so for how long?

My partner is holding student visa and we have been living together for over 7 years.

I've just received my BRP card, when can I apply for UK passport? I heard from someone before that I need to wait for a year, is that true?

Many thanks
