Amercian Married to German living in Germany

Post by richie22 » Mon Jan 08, 2007 8:49 am

My questian is I have a Ph.D in Business and would like to work for the Germans. But right know I also work for the US Gov. Putting me under the Sofa Aggreement. Can I still apply to get a German work permit . If I received a job offer the sofa would no longer be in effect. And do I have a easier time getting a work permit being married to a german.

You may be able to obtain a residence (immigration) permit if you are married to a German citizen - contact the German Embassy.
