Incorrect date of birth on indefinite stamp

Post by Laxman » Fri Feb 22, 2013 1:58 pm

Hi

I have wrong date of birth printed on my indefinite stamp by UKBA.

Could you please advise me on how to report the mistake to UKBA?

How can this be amended?

Many thanks

There details on your approval letter which gives you information on how to report if the BRP is not printed correctly. Get in touch with them asap

Check this link. Contact them ASAP. Did you apply by post or PEO?

Your BRP must have been delivered with a letter attached to it.
The letter states clearly that if there is an error on the card, you need to send an email to a certain email address within 10 working days of recieving your card.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you all for your suggestions. It's a postal application. It's not BRP.

It's an indefinite sticker endorsed in the passport.

When did you submit your postal ILR application? Was there no approval letter enclosed with your passport & other supporting documents when they were returned to you?

I was returned with an approval letter along with supporting documents.

They have been misplaced or thrown away.

Was this recently or sometime ago?

Does this mean your question in this topic is about your ILR which was granted in the past, i.e. when Settlement was reflected as a ILR stamp in your passport instead of the BRP which is issued these days?

If so, I'm hazarding a guess that you have only just recently noticed that they have made an error in your date of birth on the stamp? If a significant amount of time has passed since you were granted ILR, and you have no approval letter/reference then you will probably need to call the UKBA (0870 606 7766) and enquire about the process on how to get the stamp corrected.

Laxman: Why did it take you almost a year to realise this. UKBA stopped issuing ILRs on Passports since 29th Feb 2012. You must have got it before this date.

Even if you had sent a postal application before 29th Feb 2012, you should have got your ILR by Jul-Sep 2012.
