SET(O) form Section 9 A5&A6 - Earnings claimed

Post by Muscovite » Sun Feb 24, 2013 1:38 pm

I am confused by earnings claimed requirement. Is it before or after tax? If it's before tax I would not be able to back it up by bank statements as they all show net payouts. If it is after the tax then I would not score enough points as specified in A6 (points based calculator).

HOW to fill in both sections please?

if the earnings are from employment , then you need to put the Gross earnings (before all Taxes) in both A5 & A6.

Bank statements show the net payment only but you will be fine in supporting your claim via pay slips from your employer. which contain the details of both gross and net pay.

Thanks. Exactly what I wanted to hear.

And do I need to specify the number of points I scored on PBC in section A6 too?

No, just put earnings in A6 and tick the relevant box in A7 of section 9.

and here is link for your previous question of Gross earnings.

read No 23 in above link.
