ILR and absences

Post by shana35 » Sun Feb 24, 2013 2:47 pm

Hi I will be applying next month for my ILR set form o. I am under the work permit system 2008,then changed job in 2008 itself and I would like to know whether I need to get a letter from my employer to state the dates I have taken my annual leaves as I am not sure whether in my case it would be applicable. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, any absence from UK during WP or Tier 2 period needs to be certified by the employer. Look for the sticky note - where you can find the letter format

Thank you for your reply. My employer is not ready to give me this letter they said they have never given this to anyone before. So what in the worst scenario if they do not give me the letter can I take my payslips as a proof where it is said on there paid holiday as a proof. Also i travelled whilst I was on maternity leave less than 70 days. Will this be an issue as well. Please help!!!

According to the umbra guidelines the employer letter is mandatory for absence during the tier 2 or wp period.

Check this guide for information regarding continuous period
