Hi,
currently, I am on tier-1 general visa in Uk. My visa is valid until Sep2013.
but my contract job is ending in May 2013. To renew my job contract, my client looks for at least 6 months of my visa validity. Bcos he renew my contract job for every 6 months. So, can I go for early visa extension in apr/may 2013 (I,e, 5 to 6 months before). If they grant me visa start date apr/may 2013, I don't have any problem. Bcos I will be eligible for PR next year (I.e, in 2014).

_______________
Currently my wife is in India. She went to India for maternity. Since my tier-1 is valid until Sep2013. She has tier-1 general dependent visa until Sep2013.
But I need to do visa for my new born baby now. I can do visa for my new baby in 2 ways
I) I can apply for dependent visa for my new born baby in India now. Since my current visa is valid until Sep2013, my new born baby will also get dependent visa until Sep 2013. So, I can apply and bring my wife and child to Uk now. Once they both arrive in uk, we can all together apply for tier-1 general visa for my self & tier-1 general dependent visas for my wife & child in uk some time before my tier1 expires. If I do like this, I am paying one dependent fee in india for my new born baby to bring over here and with in couple of months time when I go for my tier-1 visa extn, again I need to pay dependent fee. To avoid this I can also do like this. See another way below
II) I can take a PEO appointment to extend my tier-1 genral visa for my self in Uk some time in May/Jun 213. Once my new visa is granted, I can send my new tier-1 general visa to India and get my wife & new born baby tier-1 general dependent visas in India it self and I can bring them here in uk. If i do like this, I would be saving one visa charge for my new born baby (compared to example 1 above)
My question is - if I do follow as number II above, and if my wife & new born baby coming to uk. Will my wife be treated as entry clearance and I heard that after July 27th 2012, who ever is coming on tier-1 dependent visa to uk, after 5 yrs of stay only dependents are eligible for PR. if I do like above point number II, is my wife will be losing the eligibility for PR NEXT YEAR (since I will be eligible for PR NEXT YEAR). She had previously completed 2 yrs of her stay in uk.
My question is if i do like in step2 and if I go for PR in next year, is she eligible for PR or not....the reason for going step 2 because, I can save one time dependent charge for my new born baby.
