psw to tier 4

Hi i came uk in august 2006 did 3 yrs diploma course until august 2009.
then i did my MBA august 2009 to March 2011 and then got myPSW until july 2013.Recently i got offer for PHD course which is 3 yrs duration.I spent 1 and half years on degree lavel on tier 4.Just want your opinion am i be able to extend for 3 yrs more on tier 4 visa.

Yes, you may be able to switch to Tier 4 with PhD course as long as you meet all other Tier 4 requirements.

thanks.if i do PHD does it count towards the 8Yrs Limit?

Yes it does.

If you applying for course starting around June-July 2013, then you will get 40 months visa. And by that time you will complete your 10 years in UK.
