ILR Premium Appointment - Passport and existing BRP return?

Post by nirav.shah83 » Mon Feb 25, 2013 8:55 am

Hello!

I have my ILR appointment on April 3rd. But I might have to travel on April 13th. My current Tier 1 visa would be valid then.

Can someone advise on when is the Passport returned? And will they issue me a new BRP - since my Tier 1 BRP expires in July or will they keep my current BRP for the ILR?

Thanks!
Nirav

Provided your ILR approve on the same day all your documents and passport will be returned that day itself. BRP card will take 7 to 10 days which you need for travel purposes anyway. People have had varied time lines for this but I received mine in 3 working days from PEO date,

Thanks MP1982.

What about my existing Tier 1 BRP card? Will they let me take it back with me on the same day, provided they return my documents then?

Or will they take my existing BRP card and send the extended replacement later on?

Yes, they will take your existing T1G BRP card as it will no longer be valid after your ILR is granted. Your ILR BRP card will be dispatched via DXSecure to reach you within 7 working days. All other supporting documents including your passport will be returned on the day of your appointment.
