MN1- Application

Post by rubina20102010 » Mon Feb 25, 2013 10:07 am

Hi Members,

I’ve called my local authority to book appointment for my UK born Son (MN1) application. But they are telling me that for registration you should have ILR at least one year old and I got ILR last week. Is this is the right information?

Thanks
Rubi

rubina20102010,

you don't need ilr for 1 year to apply for MN1.

Thanks to all. I've explained them with below information

Section 1(3) applications - children born in the United Kingdom to parents who are now settled in the United Kingdom
If the child's parent has become settled in the United Kingdom or becomes a British citizen, the child will have an entitlement to register as a British citizen. This registration would be under section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act 1981.

and they are happy to grant me appointment.

thanks all,
Rubia
