Post by entrepreneur123 » Mon Feb 25, 2013 1:13 pm

hi,
I just got quick question regarding, how should i mention my name + Job title on advert material (including web site, business card etc) and on my contracts with client. Is it mandatory to state our job title's that we choosed in application form on advertising material and on contract OR only our full name will be enough without job titles we choosed in application?

Thanks

Advertising or marketing material that has been published locally or nationally,
showing your name (and the name of the business if applicable) together with the business activity. This can include printouts of internet advertising;

I would say yes! because when I submited my application I did not include my name in the online advert. They have asked later to send an advert with my name on it. So make sure you include your name, company name and services your going to provide.

Thanks Humv for your reply. Sorry if i did not explain my question well. I am asking do we need to state "job title" along with our name? For example if i am a "software developer" than do i need to state in my advert material and in contract with my name that i am a "Software Developer" or Just my name will be enough stating i am director of company? As in the guidane it states(as you posted) that we need to mention our name plus business activity. I think business activity means what our business offer to public... i.e advert of our business itself.

Please help me as i am in process of preparing my application. Thanks

You can! But if you dont include job title thats not an issue!

But yes the criteria of services (business activity) your gona provide should match to your job title. Hope that makes sense.

Many thanks for your reply. Reason of asking this question was, i am going to open company providing two types of services one at NQF 4 and one at NQF 6 and i will be using two job titles. That's way i was confused that practically it will be confusing for readers, if i will write on contract and on market material two job titles. So now in advert material + in contract i will not write my job title's plus In application form I am planning to write both job titles plus their both SOC codes. Please let me know if it's sounds fine. Thanks

1. Your advert should look like this;

Your company name

services (business activity) details i.e. what your company does and services your company offers.

(this should match to the job description available under SOC codes your going to write in your application)

Your name

2. your contract you should have

your name, your business name and the services details you will be providing and the client details i.e. name and address.

you do not have to write your job title.

Trading activity
You must also provide one or more contracts showing trading. We will accept original documents
or copies, but if it is a copy you must sign each page of the contract. The contract must show:
• Your name and the name of the business;
• the service provided by your business; and
• the name of the other party/parties involved in the contract and their contact details.
These must include their full

3. I have not had experinece in writing two jobs titles. So unable to suggest you on that I am afraid.
