Tier 1(G) Extension and Fees? The seniors plz advise.

Post by mnaeem126 » Mon Feb 25, 2013 7:46 pm

Hi Seniors,

1. My extension (for 2 years) is due on 29 April 2013 and if I apply on 5th April (1 day before the new fees implemented) and UKBA receives my application on 6th April, wot fee wud they charge?

2. My visa wud be extended upto 29 April 2015 or upto the date on which case worker decides my application for 2 years?

Please advise me as I have got 1 dependent as there is quite a big increase in fees for dependents and that is totally unfair.

Very Kind Regards,

1) It is usually the date you post your application that is used to determine the fee to be charged. Make sure you keep proof of postage when you send your application. I personally wouldn't leave it until the last date to apply, I'd post the application a few days before the new fees come into effect.
2) According to the rules, your extension will be granted from the decision date. As you are applying by post, and with the delay involved in most postal applications, it's unlikely that this will have a negative effect on you. It's more likely that you will gain more LTR, than less, due to your postal application if you submit it on the date mentioned. It would be a different matter if you were to apply in-person.

Do you know how much are the fees going to be increased?

I tried to look on Home office website but couldn't find them. Please send us the link for new fee structure
