Post by Nokia777 » Tue Feb 26, 2013 6:19 pm

Hello .
I have a question .
i am going to receive my Irish Nationality on 11th of March so i have a question for my spouse .
I am married with non EU girl since 07-07-2007 and we are both living here in Ireland she currently having STAMP 3 .
after receiving my Irish passport can she be changed to stamp 4 to allow work in Ireland ?
and how can we change the stamp 3 to stamp 4 ? do anyone know the process or link ?
Thank you

Yes she is eligible to change to Stamp 4 from the day you received your Naturalisation Certificate.

You have to go in with her to the Immigration office with your marriage cert, proof of Irish Citizenship etc.

You have been eligible to apply for Naturalisation 2 years ago have you?

Yes, you are a family member of an EU/EEA citizen from the day your father receives his certificate of Naturalisation.

OP isn't talking about being a family member of an EU citizen, neither did he express the father's wish to exercise his treaty rights

If you have anything to say, talk to the OP not to me. This is the last time I'll ever talk to you again as I don't deal with children or nonsensical behaviours.

Apologies i had to come back to you again. i dont see anything in the link you provided saying you just had to bring your cert or passport to local immigration office to change the stamp . the issue and the reason why i am asking our local immigration officer is refusing to change the stamp 3 to 4 to all spouse of newly neutralize citizens and directing to apply through immigration office in Dublin so i need some black & white to show the officer that we do no need to apply [/i]

Cert or Passport is simply a proof that you are an Irish Citizen and may be required in your case. Also marriage certificate will also be required.

You may need to go to Immigration head office in Dublin 1 for application to change stamp.

Thank you for the reply . To be honest i dont understand the rules here its not clear who may need to go to Dublin ? or who is eligible on local immigration officer ? our local immigration officer is directing every one to Dublin for this change and it took 4 to 6 months waiting in Q to have this change . Well thank you for your help
