Children citizenship application

I had my ILR in August 2011.... And also my family had their ILR at the same time... My children were born in UK... Due to some family reasons my family travelled back to India n stayed there for 10 months.... And were back... Now I want to apply for my children's citizenship and their passport eventually.... Could somebody advice do the children have to cover the 10 month stay period before v make an application?
Does the 6 year stay rule would apply to them?
I have read that after ILR children don't need to wait for another year to get their citizenship .... But my concern is for their stay out of the country for 10 months.... Would it matter???
Please help and advice.....
