Hi,

I am on Tier 1 visa expiring on Oct 2014. I want to invite my parents from India for a short visit say 1 month. I went through UKBA site. As per site, my parents need to fill for VAF1A (Tourist Visa). The form VAF1B needs to be filled if the family member must be PERMANENTLY settled or have asylum protection status...

Since I do not hold permanent status, shall I advice VAF1A? Sorry if I sound naive but I am a bit confused.

Please help.

Applications from India are on-line. The paper application forms are not accepted.

VAF1A or VAF1B are the codes given to paper application forms and have no correlation to the nomenclature of the on-line process. When you apply on-line you will be directed to the appropriate application for the category you choose (being general visit visa).

Same question here. How can I sponsor my parents to visit me for couple of weeks. I just had a look at visa4uk website. as they mention in the website "only settled person can sponsor their relatives".
