Tier 1 Extension for UK born child

Hi all,

I have a query regarding Tier 1 Extension for my UK born child.

I came to UK one year after getting the visa, so I need to go for the 2nd extension to qualify ILR. My son was born in UK and I have got the visa for him (with us - first extension) as I visited my home country last year. The gap between 2nd extension and ILR would be less than one year and I don't have any plan to go back home during this period. I am planning to apply 2nd extension for us except my UK born child, afterwards I would apply ILR for all of us. I think this should be fine, please can anyone confirm this.
