Hi,
Details about my friend:-
Date of Initial Visa - 20/11/2008
Date of Arrival in UK - 10/12/2008
Employment started in UK 2nd April 2010.
As you can clearly see I have been unemployed for 1year & 4 month. Does it have any impact on my ILR due in Nov 2013?
As I don't have any P60/Payslip for that time.
I went to india only for 25 days during that time & 10 days to Europe.
Thanks
Gaurav

In my view, the period of not in employment matters only for work permit visa holders.
For tier 1 visa, you just need to satisfy the points required your ILR earning eligibility.

may be a stupid question, but I've read they ask payslips and P40/P60 for all 5 years. Why would this be required if only the year preceding application matters?

UKBA need employment history for duration when someone is on Tier-2. For tier-1 general there is no such requirement.
I received my ILR last month and I confirmed this with caseworker. I hope this help.

P60s not required if applying under Tier 1. I got my ILR this month. The case worker did not even bother to see P60s.
