Application varied from FLR O to Tier 2, Charged twice

Post by huqqapani » Fri Mar 01, 2013 9:12 pm

All,
I applied under FLR O category as my work permit was running out just before Xmas 2012. I found a tier 2 employer and varied the original application to a Tier 2 application as no decision (or bio-metrics enrollment invitation) until now, but i was charged again twice.
I was told to expect to be charged but really should i just let it go, or is there any way that i can get my hard earned money (£842) back from UKBA for the original FLR O.
If i claim, is it better to wait for the outcome of tier 2 application or get on it right away ?

Please guide me as i could do with the above money back in my account.

According to the immigration rules, you should only be charged once. If the other fee is higher, you only have to pay a difference and vice versa. You should get in touch with then soon. Don't wait for the decision on your current application, it won't have any effect

You don't have to put in a complaint yet. Give them a ring if you have any contact number given on the letter from UKBA or ring general enquiries number, it's on their website
