Anyone used Cardiff PEO for Self Empoled or Company Director

Post by digitalrev » Mon Mar 04, 2013 12:17 am

Anyone used cardiff PEO for self employed or sole director application with dividend ? according to UKBA website cardiff PEO wont process same day applications for these categories applications. I have managed to get appointment in cardiff, I am a company director with PAYE and Dividend. if anyone have recently applied in cardiff PEO please share your experience.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/about ... rson/peos/

"Customer should note that Tier 1 General or SET (O) applications relying on self employed earnings, directors dividends or salaries from a limited company of which they are a sole director, are highly likely to be complex and will not receive a same day decision with the PEO. If customers choose to proceed with these applications then the case will be referred to a specialised team outside of the PEO and although these applications will be prioritised for processing, we will be unable to provide a specific date that customer can expect to receive an outcome."

Hi ,

I went to Cardiff PEO appointment today(06-Mar-2013) morning@10:30am to extend my Tier-1 General visa extension (Salary + Dividend from Ltd Company). Below is my experience.

1. First question, Employed or Self Employed
- I mentioned I am Director of Ltd company and withdrawing salary & dividends

2. They provided a sheet of document checklist (which is specific for our cases)
- Too many documents and i was not able to understand few of them, however i check documents which i understand also i provided a covering letter with list of documents that are submitted with application (which is simple to understand)

3. They highlighted, self employed or Ltd company director application will be complex hence decision may not be able to taken on same day.
a. If case looks straight forward then decision will happen on same day
b. If case looks bit complex and if they consider that can be handled by them then they will provide decision with in 7days.
c. If they can take can't take decision in 7days of if they feel if it is more complex then that will be handover to third party or sheffield team.

4. After completing biometrics they mentioned, they will phone with in 1 hour and confirm if they can't provide decision today.

5. I didn't receive any call for 3 hours so i was happy that they will provide decision today itself.

6. I went back to PEO again around 3.30pm and they mentioned they are looking into my case and let me know about status soon.

7. But I was called around 4:45pm and mentioned they can't take decision today and they should be able to update me with in 7 days which was bit disappointing for me.

Staff are really good and helpful, but i feel such cases will be handled by senior CW only hence there could be delay.

I was struggling to get PEO appointments from almost 1.5 months and also I contacted few OISC solicitor few weeks before but they couldn't able to provide any appointments in early Mar'13. I was surprise and shock to see 2 appointments in Cardiff on 04-Mar-2013 hence booked without thinking much. Later i saw that statement in UKBA website and tried to cancel but it didn't allowed me to cancel booking (since it was less than 48 hours).

Cheers

Congrats both of you.

I couldn't book any appointment. My rep was telling me he will get me a PEO appointment in Cardiff but at the end he couldn't secure any booking slot. So I had to send application through post. Now only god knows how long it will take, I have to travel to new york to attend relatives weeding in 15th april.

I have few questions , if you dont mind to answer please check your inbox

thanks

Tier 1 General Extension PEO Application on hold

Post by vam » Fri Mar 08, 2013 2:57 pm

Hi,

I went for Tier 1 Extension to Cardiff PEO office on 5th Mar 2013, I am showing salary and dividends for limited company.

After waiting for 3 hours, they asked for business account statements. I told as per tier 1 guidence business account statements are required for self-employed and I am not self employed.

As they were requesting the business bank statement, I went to near by bank and took the business account statement for last one year and submitted it (without sign and stamp), UKBA didnt had any problem with that statement.

I took all documents, from Accountant summary letter, dividend vouchers, personal bank statement.

But at 2PM, they told they need to check my business account statment and it will take 7 days for processing it.

They told if they need any further details , they will contact me.

Did anyone face similar scenario, within how many days i can expect result from them.

Since you submitted business bank statements without Bank Stamp so they will verify it with bank. They will send it to your bank for authorization and that's it.

Don't worry its a normal procedure. Actually banks dont realize the depth of this and some of them are so stubborn.

Hi Vamsi,

Same with me, even though i gave business bank statement when i submitted my application.

I assume UKBA release many slots in cardiff from 1 week of March, hence they are taking long time nowadays to process such cases (I understand such cases will be handled by only senior case workers).

I remember one of the staff mentioned they haven't seen that much crowd/applications before.

They will let me know the status with in 7 days, if not email to them.

I guess they may not phone us(unless they have further queries) but they will post approval letter once they process.

Cheers
Naveen
