switching from PSW to tier 2 general

I am working as a office manager in my company and my visa will expire on 30/09/2013.
My boss already applied for licence of sponsorship. Can I apply for tier 2 visa under this post in my company.

Hi all
Its urgent is there anyone who can help me. I am concern about the new rules which take place on 1st of march.
The statement says "new entrants can not be sponsor under tier 2 of the following occupations"
So what is the term new entrants means?
Is it apply on me as I start my job in February 2013.
Really need ur help.
