Hi,

I raised this question before but didnot get a satisfactory answer. Can someone help me please?

I am going to apply for my wife visa on Tier-1 General dependent from Pakistan. The UKBA requirement is Nikahnama must be endorsed by Union Council. There are no union council in islamabad. All Nikahnamas are registered in Arbitration council, local authority for registering marriages in islamabad. We went to endorse our Nikahnama from Arbitration council and they said they cant stamp the original nikahnama and they stamped a photocopy. Then we attested both the original and photocopy from Ministry of foriegn affairs.

Can someone guide if that is acceptable?
