I came to UK in Dec 2007 on WP and extended to Tier 2 ICT in 2009 and its extended 2012 again to Jan 2014.
I had 4 months gaps Aug 09 to 5th Jan 10 in one go on Tier 2 ICT, so I am not eligible for ILR, as my employer is not giving me absence letter as I was working in India during my absence from UK.
My visa details are as follows;
1st entry to UK – 5th Dec 2007 to Jul 2009
Went to India from Jul end 09 to 4th Jan 2010.
2nd Entry to UK – 5th Jan 2010 to 10th July 2011
Went to India for 14 days to drop my family due to person reason.
3rd Entry to UK – 24th Jul 2011 to 23rd Oct 2011
Went to India for 14 days, as my 2nd kid born.
4th Entry to UK – 7th Nov 2011 to till date.
Note – There is no visa Gaps from 2007 to till date.
Now I have got another company offer and they are ready to sponsor me Tier 2 General Visa.
My question is, if I switch to new employer will this affect my ILR eligibility in Dec 2014? My understanding is that it will not affect as long as I switch my visa within 60 days from current to new employer.
