How long before starting a new job on tier 2 (g) can my new sponsor apply for sponsorship of me? What is the longest?

Is your prospective employer currently on the register of sponsors? This is the first step in the process and can take some time. They can then issue you with a Certificate of Sponsorship. Once that has been issued, you must use it within 90 days, i.e. apply.
