Visitor Visa

Hi,

I am on tier 1 visa for last near 4 years. I want to invite my parents to UK for couple of Months from India. I filed their application online yesterday. The purpose of the visit I wrote in online application is Tourist/Sight Seeing. Somebody told me that this is not appropriate and I should have written that they are coming to visit me.

Is that a problem? Can anybody throw some light? Shall I file another application?

Why are they going to the UK? If it's mainly to see you then that is the reason. If they mainly plan to see sights then that is the reason. If they plan to do both in equal measure then both reasons should be stated. You don't have to do anything to the on-line form but you can write (in ink) any changes on the print-out of the application that is submitted to the VAC.
