Few years ago, there was an offer from 1&1 UK for domain hosting for free. I registered a new domain name and hosting service from them, but terms and conditions said the free hosting is for 3 months and after 3 months they will charge my credit card. The minimum period of contract was 2 years. I had to put my credit card info there, because I purchased new domain name for that free hosting.
So, before the 3 months period ended, I transferred the domain name to namecheap, and purchased the hosting in hostgator. I informed 1&1 that I will not be using their service anymore, and deleted my credit card info from their website. But after 3 months they send me a bill via email saying they couldn't charge my credit card as I have already deleted the credit card info. After that, I also deleted my address and phone numbers from 1&1's record. After few months they again send me email warning me if I don't pay the bill they will send it to bills collector.
Finally I deleted my email account also from 1&1 service, and never heard from them again. Now, I am planning to visit UK in summer, I want to make sure if my name is blacklisted by 1&1 for not paying the bill. If it is how do I check that and where ? Will the UKBA know about this and block my visa ?
