Jul 2012 Tier2(ICT) to Tier2(G) - Recruiter Says Possible

Hi All,

I am on ICT from Jul2012 and had been trying to switch to Tier2 G. The posts in this forum says it is not possible, but a recruiter is saying its possible to do so, but I need to travel outside UK to apply for entry clearance.

I want to know, is it correct? Doesn't the cooling off period apply in this case.

you cannot switch in-country and if you apply for entry clearance from abroad cooling off is triggered
