Main applicant declaration letter for Tier1 Gen Depedent

Post by jryde » Fri Mar 08, 2013 8:08 pm

Hello,

Thanks in advance for your help on this!!

I am main applicant and want to apply for tier 1 general dependent visa for my wife from VFS India, Hyderabad.

my question is
1)
is any requirement that the main applicant declaration letter has to be written and attested by solicitor ? OR
Can I write the declaration letter myself ?

2) can you please tell do I need to attested the photo copy of my passport ? or simply can I just send the full photo copy of my passport +BRP (i.e. without any attestation), please advice

please experience user can answer the above, thanks again for reading my post.

I did not get it attested since it is only a letter, not an affidavit or a legal document

Thanks I take your answer as " you have not attested ur declaration letter when you applied for dependent visa and still you have got the visa issued"

2)

what about the main applicant passport copy does it need to be attested ?
or simply I can send my full passport copy without attestation will this be ok?

please advice

If the guidance requires it to be attested, then yes it should be. When I applied for my dependents two years ago, I didn't get it attested.

Its not required to get it attested, you are free to apply without this.

Thanks,
Uday
