Permament resident of Canada traveling to Schengen countries

Post by acdc1995 » Sat Mar 09, 2013 7:54 pm

Hello I am a PR of Canada and I have a certificate of identity, which means I have no nationality and can't obtain my citizenship yet because I haven't stayed in Canada as a PR for at least 5 years. I want to travel to know if I can travel to Schengen countries without visa, because I applied to Schengen consulate and they said they can't accept a certificate of identity. I have done some research but there's very little information I could find regarding my status and travel to Schengen countries.

During your research, have you read this in full?

(I don't have time just now to run through it to see if there's a case similar to yours, but this is what embassies are meant to follow when dealing with visa applications).
