My visa expired in dec 2012 and since then my passport is not with me. I would like to know the exact procedure if anyone has been in this situation. Also, what should i do till i hear anything???

hi SimiP

Since you have appealed, You should write to UKBA informing this and requesting them to return your Passport. This is what I was told from a lawyer...

Did you consult a Solicitor to prepare your appeal and represent you in court or did you do it on your own? Can I ask you on what grounds did you make your appeal, if you don't mind to share... even I have to make an appeal dis week...

Till you hear anything, you are legally staying in UK.. so i guess you can work...

I would be glad if you can share your solicitor details and costs, if you went through one...

Hi,

Thanks for your reply..

I have made an appeal but not yet informed UKBA. Should this be done..If so, What should I provide as proof of my appeal to UKBA. Since I have not received any acknowledgement from the court.

Also, my employer had consulted some legal guidance but at the end it was just me and my employer who completed this.

Please keep posting about your case so that we can help each other...
Cheers!!

Sorry, i have no idea how but it is what was told to me by a solicitor on a free consultation over phone. he said once appealed, he would write to UKBA to release passport and documents...

hey, i have no experience of preparing an appeal.. would you mind if I ask to share what you wrote in appeal, the evidence you provided and on what grounds you made your appealed.. was your refusal based on wrong Job Title ?

your can pm me in here.. if you dont mind...

thanks...
