final check with docs for naturalisation

I would appreciate if some one can assure me the list of doc we are sending for naturalisation - it is for my husband(main applicant), myself and a toddler ( we are applying together)
main applicant-
- passport
- employee letter
- 3 months bank statement
- utility bill
- marriage certificate
- life in uk test
- 6 months Payslip
myslef
- passport
- employee letter
- 3 months bank statement
- life in uk test
- 6 months Payslip

Toddler
Birth certificate

Filled form + payment slip

Check the last page of the application form for the required supporting evidence.

Any reason you submit employment related evidence? or proof of address? or bank statements?

employment related evidence for 5 years residency proof. as we dont have p60. well we have but could not find those as of now.

If your passports shows you've been in the UK for 5 or more years you don't need to submit other evidence for this. Are you using the NCS?

But you submit your passport to prove residency. Where does it say you also need to submit P60s or employment related evidence?

SECTION 3 Evidence of lawful residence during the 5 (or, if the applicant is married or in civil partnership to a British citizen, 3)
years before the date of the application: required for applications made on the basis of residence in the United Kingdom:
required for all applicants
• Your passports OR
• Letters from employers, educational establishments or other Government Departments indicating presence in UK

The word OR indicates you can supply your passport or other evidence not both, passports are ample.

Can we apply AN for parents & MN1 for children together? Don't we need BC first before applying MN1 for children?

Oh dear please don't confuse me at the last moment. As my child is born in UK and we could have got her registration done as soon as one of the parent was granted ILR. But due to some travel in between we applied for her ILR too(which was not required at all)

Now we are applying for naturalization so applying for her registration too. Having BC by parents is not mandatory requirement for UK born child depending on circumstances.

Good luck.

It doesn't matter if the child was born in the UK or abroad. They can always apply with a parent (in some cases, the other parent would need to hold ILR).

Hi Jambo,
Bit confused.... we all have ILR including my children (they have ILR stamp on their passports) & now qualify for BC, they were born outside UK. So looking at rules (given on your link) I understood that my children can only apply for ‘registration as BC’ AFTER myself or my wife is obtained the BC? (I am also not sure if it is before BC ceremony or after?). OR is it possible to apply for BC together??

It's OK to apply together.

The born abroad children application is at discretion and would be granted depending on the outcome of the parents' application. There is no need to wait for the ceremony. If the CW decides to grant BC to the parent(s), he will grant BC to the child applying at the same time (unless there is a specific issue with the child application such as good character).

You will need to inform NCS if you apply for MN1 at the same time as they might require more time for the appointment (and also will charge you for their service for MN1).
