ILR - Economic Activity

Post by jain208 » Mon Mar 11, 2013 10:27 pm

Hello,

I will be applying for ILR in the next few days.
While getting the documents ready, I read that I need to submit proof of my economic activity over the last 5 years. The problem is that I came to UK in April 2008 and didn't start working till June 2008. That means I have been working for 4 years and 10 months.

Do I need to show my employment history for full 5 years? I am planning to submit 12-month payslips, 12-month bank statements and last 4 year P60. Will that be sufficient?

Thanks,
Abhi.

I assume you we're on tier 1/hsmp then. That should be okay...shouldn't cause an issue.
If you are applying before April/may 4 P60s covers it all. If you were salaried employee, then 12 months payslips acknowledged with bank statements should do as long as you hit the required points for earnings.

If you were on tier 1, as long as you have the required income for extension/ILR points, that should suffice. See my post in sticky notes regarding this.
I'm just trying to help !

Hi db83,
Thanks for your prompt reply.

Yes I came to UK on HSMP, but later converted to Tier 1 in early 2010. I am a salaried employee. I am applying for ILR on 22nd March, and I am able to get the required points.

So, just to clarify for my case 12-month payslips, 12-month bank statements and 4-year P60s should be fine. Is that correct?

Thanks,
Abhi.

To prove your income points, that's sufficient. I doubt if they would even ask you for P60s. Make sure your payslips are attested by your employer if they are online payslips.

Good luck.
