Annual leave letters from employer for LTR

Hi,
I want to know if a simple e-mail (auto generated) for leave approval is sufficient to prove the annual leave of it is mandatory to have letter signed by sponsor regarding annual leave for travel outside UK.
I am eligible for a PR but do not have an annual leave letter for 1 month travel outside UK from my previous sponsor. Is there any alternative for letter from Sponsor?
