Annual leaves

Post by tier-1 » Tue Mar 12, 2013 7:02 am

Hello Friends,

Is it necessary to get a letter from employer confirming my annual leaves? My employer is not able to furnish this information because they do not have any such record?

The total number of absences in five years is below 180 as I used to go out of UK only on during the annual leaves. I am on tier-1 visa.

Thanks
Nishant.

Absence letter is not needed for tier 1 general. I got my ILR approved yesterday wasn't asked for any absence letters even though I had absences around 150 days in one go and 258 total absences.
Thanks!

Hey uksettlement, Thanks for your reply.

To calculate the number of days: If I left UK on 1 Jan and returned UK on 18 Jan, then the number of days of absence will be 18 or 16.

I mean, the days I left and returned to UK will be counted as absence or presence in UK.

Thanks.

Hello uksettlement,

Thanks for your replies so far. They have been very helpful.

What should I put for the question

6.3 What evidence has been provided to support the reasons for all absences from the UK?

Should I leave this blank

Regards

Absence will be 18 from UK. Leave from Employer would be 16,if these are authorized leave.

I am pretty sure the absence will be 16 as well as UKBA only consider full days out.
Thanks!
