So I am due to have my ceremony this coming Friday and then will complete my Passport application following that, meaning I will be British
However, I was just reading about Dual Citizenship and specifically that of a South African and on their website (http://southafricahouseuk.com/passports ... itret.html)
It states:
"Application for the retention of RSA citizenship is an application that MUST be made before one acquires foreign nationality. South African citizens who take up foreign citizenship without applying for retention of South African will lose their SA citizenship"
Now I was not aware of this little fact, so wanted to find out from any South Africans, if they have managed to retain their Citizenship after getting their British Passport / Citizenship?
