Tier 1 PSW to Tier 2 General

Hi,

Thanks for your interest to look into my situation.

>im a contractor working for an aerospace company from Nov 15, 2012. The company is interested to offer me a permanent role and to sponsor a visa to acquire Tier 2. Although the company is not registered with UKBA to sponsor immigrants, they are going to register in April. (roughly 3 months to get registered)

>I read that if I work in that company for about 6 months the company can skip the RESIDENT LABOUR MARKET TEST.

>that 6 months means i have to be a permanent employee of that company or i can be as a contractor through an agency or an umbrella company?

as of my knowledge, If you are on valid PSW visa, there is no need of RLMT.
once your company is registered and have the license , you can apply for Tier 2 visa.

With tier 2 visa you can only work for your employer on permanent basis.

No need for RLMT for psw switch

I think you can switch to T2 as a contractor but all other requirements must be met. e.g sal,job code and description
