Which category for MN1 online ?

Hi, My 8 year old son was born in UK but he is current is in India and I want to register the child as British and apply for a passport from there, I wanted to do that online but I am not sure which Visa category to chose from ?

The Categories available are Exempt, Other, Settlement, Study, Transit, Visit, Work

MN1 is not a visa you apply for using the online system. You download the application form from UKBA website and send it by post to UKBA in Liverpool.

Thanks Jambo, So that means UKBA will post the the Passport to India too (if successful).

which passport are you referring to ? Indian or British?

MN1 application is for registration as British citizen. Once granted, you receive a certificate (which proves you are British). You can then apply for a passport from the BHC in India.
