Re-entry Visa : No GNIB card, only GNIB stamp 4 on passport

Post by UpTheDubs » Wed Mar 13, 2013 2:52 pm

I am currently a stamp 3 holder but have recently been approved for a stamp 4 which is dependent of my Father's stamp 4. My father's stamp 4 is due for renewal in May, and my stamp 3 GNIB card is expiring this month. So I went to INIS in Dublin this week and they renewed my stamp 3 to stamp 4.

However, I was not given the GNIB card since there is only two months left before my next renewal as I am dependent of my Father, and was not asked to pay the 300 euro fee since they said that the 300euro fee was for the GNIB card.. So the only thing they gave me was a stamp 4 in my passport with the date of my next renewal, which is in the 24th of May.

I am travelling to the UK on the last week of April and therefore I need to apply for a re-entry visa to come back to Ireland.

QUESTION:
Does anyone know if I would be able to apply for a re-entry visa without a GNIB card but only with a GNIB stamp 4 on my passport?

Thank you.
