naturalised in 2008 but didnot apply for British passport

Would appreciate if someone could advise in this matter. I was awarded the certificate of naturalisation in Oct 2008, but due to changes in my personal circumstances I had to move to India in Jan 2009, where I stayed for about 2 and a half years. I returned to the UK in August 2011, but haven't applied for the British passport yet.
Would I be fined if I apply now? Please advise. Thanks!

there is no need for a BC to hold a passport and she can apply anytime in her lifespan for the passport. So you'll not be fined.

You will not be fined for applying for British passport but will be fined when you plan to surrender your Indian passport as you are supposed to be using Indian passport after aquiring British Citizenship.
