How to cancel a spouse visa application once submitted??

Hi, I'm new here.

Basically, my brother married a relative from Pakistan a year ago.
His wife submitted the visa application recently.

But now she has ran away with some guy, taking all the gold jewellery/cash etc.
None of it makes sense as she married him of her own free will and was
very happy etc and excited to be settling in the UK.

We can not comprehend why she has done such an awful act.

Now we would like to cancel the application from the UK, is it possible?? Will be able to get a refund for the application as my brother paid for it??

Does anyone know if there is any way we can pursue them for this inhumane criminal act?

You can inform the UKBA that you no longer wish to sponsor the application. It would be best to take two-pronged approach. Email the consulate where the visa was applied and email the UKBA in the UK.
