Hi all, I'm a New Zealander soon to apply for ILR in person. On form SET(O) there is question 7.12: "Please state what ties you have with the country where you were born" and in the answer box there is the heading "Social cultural or family ties". It seems to me somewhat like a booby-trap question...
My mother, sister and nephews and all my oldest friends still live in NZ. I call myself a kiwi and still love many aspects of the country. But I wonder how much or what I should put down – it feels like a setup for the UKBA guy to jump up and say "aha! you don't love the UK enough!" if I am honest.
Since I'm going for an in-person appointment I may well get a verbal grilling.
Any experience or advice?
Cheers
Bryce
