Name change NOT on passport

I have been using my middle name (which is NOT on my passport) for quite a while now, just because it makes life easier. Although it is quite a hassle when it comes to the bank, etc.

So I have decided to make it official with a deed poll, in which case I will have to notify UKBA. However in my home country things aren't so easy, so I'm not going to bother to add the name on the passport. Therefore in essence the idea is other than at the airport I won't have to go back and forth between names.

The question is would this cause any problems? Does anybody have any experience or knowledge on this?
