Did you ever give the impression that you are self employed in your application? because you can be a director and be self employed by collecting salary or paying yourself from your company account. It all boils down to what your application tells the cwgulrose786 wrote:Tier1 E applied in the first week of february 2013 and got query few days ago. one more question. Did you call hmrc to tell them you have stared trading? If so the cw may be assuming that you are already trading and paying yourself salary. Speak to an accountant.gulrose786 wrote:Tier1 E applied in the first week of february 2013 and got query few days ago. No i have not yet informed Hmrc about trading but trading has been started since February first week. As a Director i will only claim dividend at the end of the accounting period so i am not taking any salary at all. As i have understood from HMRC website i will not pay any National Insurance on my dividend but i will defiantly pay Class 1 National Insurance for my employees each month.monolyte wrote:one more question.
