Hi guys!
I applied on 26 Nov, bio taken on 4 Dec, 2012, 50k, PSW route
This morning the postman had been to my house while I'm away,
he left me a red notice of recorded sign for letter
Does UKBA send letters back using recorded sign for service?
I'm pretty sure that I haven't bought anything online lately
I haven't received any approval letter yet!
Really worried!
Any chance I would get refusal?
Or anybody receive approval letter with materials by recorded sign for service?

UPDATE!
Got all the document back with approval letter!
Approved on 05 March, 2013
DIY, all funds in UK
Waiting for the BRP now!!!

Good afternoon,

Hope for the best but they normally send documents and decision on an application through Royal mail recorded delivery which doesnt need any signature,or unless you have provided a prepaid special delivery envelope at the time you have made your application. And any BRP is sent via special courier which needs signature.

And it may be a case that sometimes documents arrives later than BRP(in case of approved applications).

Anyway good luck with your post.

Is the recorded delivery notice from DX courier, if it is then surly you will be having your BPR and will receive your docs in due course.

buntyz:

I am sorry if something is known to you,is wrong but for your kind information in goodfaith, they send all docs by a recorded delivery unless you have provided a prepaid special delivery envelope which needs to be signed, otherwise recorded delivery requires no signature and in case of approved applications BRP is normally sent through a special courier which needs signatures.

In that member case, delivery collection is from Royal mail not from any other special courier services.

And further,I have never ever seen as such.

Whats the point of using RECORDED DELIVERY if no signature is required?

In my knowledge and experience, they can drop the letter sent by recorded delivery to anyone living at the particular address, unless,it is sent by a prepaid special delivery which one can pick from the collection centre of the post if it is missed.

I may be wrong and you members may be right but this is my own experience which I have been observing for several years here in the UK.

Anyway, this is not that much important than other related issue because nobody can change fate of an application's decision sent by recorded or speical or ordinary post.

Lets drop this now and make a move ahead to discuss technical issues in your experience and knowledge.

Thanks for your understanding
