Sponsering wife

Post by mov » Mon Mar 18, 2013 7:50 pm

Hi,

I'm british national which i was awarded nearly 3 years ago. I want to sponser my wife from pakistan.

Would you please advice me which form i should use. Is this VAF4A or FLR. (not sure would she be my spouse or my dependent)

I'm just a bit confuse deciding between the two. Thanks

VAF4A is the right one.

FLR(M) is for in country applications - you'll use it to extend her visa after the initial period.

Read the guidance on the UKBA website for bringing a spouse to the UK for settlement. She must have passed a recognised English Test and you will need to earn 18600 annually.

When she arrives put her name onto some bills and start a paper trail that shows you are both living together. Internet or paperless accounts won't work. Make sure you are being posted everything. You will be required to show this later and some are being asked to produce at least 5 documents posted to either spouse at the same address.
Add your timeline to Skydrive for FLR(M)
